Oh Christmas Tree!

I love the holidays BUT  I am glad that they are coming to an end this year.  Christmas got off to a rocky start for our little family of four.  Wednesday night, Paxton started running fever and he was wheezing again.  Michael and I decided for the third time this month that we should make one last trip ( or so we thought ) to the doctor's office before Christmas.  Our doctor diagnosed him as having Infantile Asthma and instead of using a spacer with an inhaler, we are now using a Nebulizer.  They put him back on the oral steroids, and are giving him another breathing treatment that is to make him stop wheezing.  We are going to have to keep him on that one until at least February.  Michael took Paxton and me home and then he went back to Walgreen's to pick of the prescription.  He called me on the way home to inform me that had we not had insurance, it would have cost a grand total of $600.00!  We only had to pay $20.00.  Thank you Lord for insurance.  I promise to never talk bad about the county's insurance ever again!  We thought that this was a fix for our little man, but no that would be too easy. Friday, Christmas Eve, he started running fever again and started throwing up.  At this point, we were getting a little frustrated.  Thank goodness the after hours clinic was open. We loaded up and took him.  He had an ear infection.  I had no idea that he could get a ear infection in one day!  She had just looked at his ears Thursday!  Jeez....  BUT he is on antibiotic for his ear infection, steroids and two different breathing treatments.  Praise the Lord, my baby feels so much better!  I missed my little big man.

On a happier note, we had a wonderful wonderful Christmas!  Michael and I are so blessed to have two sets of family that are involved in our kids lives.  With that said, I am quite sure that Anna Claire and Paxton got WAY too many toys.  We also talked about cutting way back next year.  I went a little over board buying for Anna Claire this year.  I say "I" because Michael kept telling me that she had plenty.  These are the fun years to be a little girl: doll houses, barbies, dress up clothes, tea sets, I could go on and on!  I will say that I like her stuff as much as she does!

We hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas!!!  We can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for our family!

Random Happiness

I was in Wal-Mart last Saturday and since I was husband and child free, I decided to spend time smelling ALL of the body washes.  I am always rushed to just grab something when I have Michael or the kids.  I decided on the Dial Yogurt wash.  It smelt pretty good.  Since I am impatient and can't wait till I am done with the old , I used my new Apricot and Almond wash.  I would just like to say that it was heaven!  I know it sounds crazy, but I literally used it twice in one shower!

My new Favorite!
Oh yea, and another random happiness of mine:

And I can't forget about this sleeping cutie either :)  Happy 5 months to my Paxton!

It's Official! Not Flip Flop Weather Anymore!

One thing I love about living in Mississippi:  You can wear flip flops well past summer!  Not this weekend though!  It is FREEZING!  I am not complaining though.  Its December... its supposed to be freezing!

With that said, we had a great weekend... INSIDE!  We were planning on taking Anna Claire to look at Christmas lights Friday night, but since Paxton is sick we stayed in.  Our night consisted of McAlisters and going to bed early.  Saturday morning, Michael went to work at the PD and my parents came up to see the babies.  I was so thankful too because I was able to go to Wal-mart ALONE and get all of my grocery shopping done.  Sunday, my sister came and hung out with us for a while.  We opted out of going to church for the second Sunday in a row since Paxton is still sick. When Michael got home from working his church detail, I went to a paint party at my friend Shannon's house. It was a blast!  I am not an artist at all, but it was nice to just hang out with the girls for a few hours without hearing "mommy" all afternoon.  :)

Isn't my artwork lovely?! Just Kidding!
When I got home from painting, Michael and I made cookies with Anna Claire.  It was fun and very messy!  I think she ate more cookie dough than we baked cookies.

The beginning of a royal mess.

I think the pan got more sprinkles than the cookies did.

She had a blast!
My pumpkin is feeling MUCH better!

Sick Baby = Tired Mama

I would just like to start out by saying that I am TIRED!  The past two nights Paxton has been fussing in his sleep.  Wednesday night, Anna Claire was restless too and I assumed it was because they both got in the bed late that night. Last night, Paxton just cried out in his sleep for a good three hours.  I kept going to check on him, but he was sleeping.  Eventually, I just got him up and let him sleep the rest of the night in his swing.  I was tired and was afraid he would wake Anna Claire up ( which is like waking a bear ).  Thank goodness that he can still use his swing!

Today, we decided that another trip to the doctor was in order.  Turns out my little bundle of fussiness has two ear infections from the Bronchitis that he had last week.  He is at work with me until Michael can pick him up.
Look at those eyes!

Can ya tell she's a girl!?
Love these two wild youngens!

Hey there!  I hope this post finds everyone doing wonderful!!!  I promise to keep you updated on all my little chickadees!!  Life has been crazy for the past ummmmm  year ..... okay okay TWO years!  Its amazing how having children can make my once organized life complete chaos!  But I wouldn't have it any other way.  :)

Michael, is still at the Sheriff's Office. He finally felt God calling him back into student ministry a few months ago.  Since then, we have been praying for God to show us where he wants us to be.  I know that where ever he puts us will be wonderful!  Please keep us in your prayers as we continue on this journey.

Anna Claire, Wow.... she has to be smartest two year :)  She just amazes me everyday!  She is such a girly girl and I LOVE it.  She loves bracelets, purses, crowns, plastic shoes, and PERFUME!  I spray her just about every morning when I put mine on.  She calls it pafume.  She can count to ten (most of the time).  She can almost sing her alphabets. She LOVES Barney with all of her heart! As soon as I pick her up from daycare, "Juice mama.  Night night mama.  Barney mama."  She is watching every show that I swore I would never let my kids watch.  She turned two November 11th.  Here are some pictures you might enjoy!

And finally, Michael Paxton....  He is my baby boy!  He is so squishy and cuddly!  He will be five months on the 16th of this month.  He came a little early (by three weeks) but he has gotten big very quickly.  He is a wonderful baby!  I am seriously not lying!  He is always happy!  Matter of fact, he started coughing a couple of weeks ago.  Michael and I assumed it was the weather.  I gave him cough medicine for a few days, but it just didn't help him.  I called the doctor's office last Friday and decided to take him in for a check up.  They checked him and told me he had  Bronchitis. They put him on oral steroids and we've been giving him breathing treatments to clear it up.  He didn't even act like he felt bad :(  Poor baby!  But he is better now!  Here are some Paxton pics!
