God is Good Even Through the Terrible Twos

Hey guys!  I told you I would be back on Monday with good news.... well its Wednesday.  That is just how this week has been...

First the good news!  After a year of praying that God would open the right door for us, Michael is now serving as the youth minister at a church in our community!  We are so excited!  Its not full time, but we feel absolutely certain that God is leading us down this path!  And with that said, we are MOVING!  Yay!  That has been a big prayer request as well.  We are cramped in our home now since we have been bombarded with everything kids.  We will be moving to a house that is close to the church.  It has LOTS of room for the kids to run around and a great yard!  We can't wait!  Here is a sneak peak of the living room/dining room before we paint Saturday.

Its a bit blurry thanks to my camera phone!
I can't wait to show y'all some more pictures when this is all said and done!
This past weekend was a lot of fun.  We met my sister and ate at Mugshots Friday night.  Anna Claire loves any places that serve "chips n dip."
I packed on Saturday and Sunday we went to church and just laid low that afternoon.
So... Anna Claire recently got moved up to the three year old room at daycare (she won't be three until November).  We were really excited!  She has been potty trained since February and she communicates very well so we thought that this new adventure would be good for her.  She has not adjusted well at all.  She goes to the office at least three times a day.  I sat there in the office and cried yesterday because I have no idea what is going on with her.  We obviously have typical two year old problems but she just refuses to do what she is told in this class.  I seriously think that she will just need some time to adjust (its only been a week) but my baby is a smart cookie and I guess I am shocked that she is giving us so problems with it.  This morning we all prayed before we left that she would do good today and Praise the Lord she hasn't been to the office all day!  Yay!!!
I will leave you with this:
Yes, that is a pony tail and yes, Michael did get mad because I put it in his hair.  But seriously, even with a pony tail.... he is SOOO CUTE!!!!
Happy Hump Day!

Happy Birthday to My Paxton!

Hey guys!  Happy Hump Day!

We had a great weekend!  I took off work on Friday and Monday.  We had a lot of stuff going on this weekend.  Thursday night the kiddos spent the night with Michael's parents so we could go out with some friends!  Friday we WERE going to sleep late.  It is very rare that both of us are off of work on the same day and even rarer that we don't any reason to get up at six in the morning.  With that said, I woke of at six o'clock on the dot and went and walked.  It's official! I can no longer sleep late!  At least Michael got to sleep in a little.

Saturday was my baby Paxton's birthday!  WOW!!!  He is ONE!  I thought it pasted by fast with Anna Claire.  With Pax, it has flown!

We fixed a big birthday breakfast and open presents.  Anna Claire is doing very well with realizing that it is Paxton's birthday and not hers.  She is a smart little booger.  After breakfast, we got dressed up and drove two and a half hours to my cousin's wedding. It was beautiful!  Btw, weddings are NOT easy with little ones.  Paxton wanted to holler out when it was dead quiet and Anna Claire was upset because there were no pictures in the hymnals.  We spent the majority of the wedding watching from outside the sanctuary.  Anna Claire kept telling me that the bride was beautiful!  I wish I would have taken pictures!  :(

Congratulations Alicia and Micah!

Sunday, after church, we headed to Pax's second birthday party with Michael's family.  It was great!  Outside in July... in Mississippi... I was scared.  It actually was not that bad!  It was a very pleasant day :)  I didn't take that many pictures since Michael's aunt was taking them.  She is a much better photographer that I am!  I stink at taking pictures!  When she gets me a copy of the disk, I will share more with you.

Suzanne and I were roommates in college and we have stayed friends ever since!
She had April a couple of months after Pax was born. :) Don't you just want to
eat those legs!?
And last but not least:
This is one tuckered out little princess :)

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!  Hopefully I will have some exciting news to share with everyone on Monday!  NOOOO I am not pregnant!!!!! :)

Happy Monday!

Its a rare thing...

It is oh so rare and the picture is blurry!  BUT  I managed to get my "I'm NOT smiling no matter what you do" daughter to give me a few smiles last night!  Yay!  Yes, I did just pat myself on the back.

Okay, this one is seriously blurry but she had an awesome grin!  I carry my phone with me all the time so I am snapping pictures like crazy!

She loves her some jewelry! She would wear a whole arm full of bracelets if we would let her.  I let her wear one to daycare everyday and she knows when she gets there she has to put it in her cubby.

Here we are showing off her "collection."

*** And lets not forget about little brother, who makes himself perfectly at home in his sister's room.***

Look at him digging!  Such a boy!  He terrorizes her stuff.  We try to make him play in his room but he crawls up the hall to Anna Claire's room and pulls books off the shelf and tears heads off of Barbies.  We know he is in there when Anna Claire hollers "Come get him!"  :)

On another subject...  I am trying to figure out a hobby that I am good at.  So far, I am coming up empty handed.  I am not good at taking pictures or baking.  I HATE couponing!  I tried it and would rather pay full price than deal with the headache.  I can't draw or create anything at all.  I can't grow pretty flowers.  Jeez!  What is left?!  Oh well, I am still hunting!

Have a Happy Friday!

July is here too fast!

Hey guys!  I know I know its been like three weeks since I last posted.  I have no excuses.  Well, not any good ones at least.  I have been very forgetful lately.  It was kinda funny at first.  I may not can remember if I put conditioner in my hair, and I end up having to wash it twice.  Then it gets annoying like when I get to work and realize that I have Paxton's juice sitting on the front seat.  Jeez.  My mom seems to think its part of being a mama of two small kids.  I can laugh it off until I FORGET to pay the car insurance and have to spend 30 minutes on my lunch hour pleading to the lady that I am sorry and to please have mercy on this forgetful state that I am in.  Thank goodness, she did.  The good news is that I remembered that I put conditioner in my hair this morning! Yay!  Maybe I am getting better!  :)

My lovely little diva princess has decided that taking pictures is not her thing.  She avoids me as soon as I pull out my phone or camera.  She HATES pictures.  I got TWO pictures of her the last three weeks!  That's it!  And those are only because we were in a restaurant and she couldn't run away.

This coming weekend is Paxton's first birthday party!  I am so excited!  I think we are prepared.  I have been to Party City and spent way too much money, but we are going to have a blast.  We have been trying to explain to Anna Claire that Paxton is going to be 1 and he is going to have a party with cake and presents.  We asked her what she thought about all that.  She said (with a smile) that "Anna Claire is gonna open presents too."  How in the world do you tell a two year old that its someone else's birthday with out hurting her feelings?  We thought that maybe we can let her help Paxton open presents.  But she is a smart cookie.  I think she would know that a dump truck isn't for her.  Ha ha. Should we get her a "happy" so she will have something to open?

Have a happy week everyone!  I can't wait to post pictures of his party!

My baby boy loves pictures!  For the time being.  I am sure eventually he will end up like his big sister and hide from me.  I will enjoy it while it lasts!
